Kasey + Brad’s Audubon Center Wedding
When talking with Kasey and Brad, they mentioned they loved the outdoors, were laid back, and massive Philly sports fans (hard to be these days I know). With this in mind, their Audubon Center wedding was perfect for them! From the beautiful weather we got – despite forecasts of rain – to their rustic themed cocktail hour and reception, the wedding couldn’t have gone any better. Kasey wore a gorgeous Lazaro dress and rocked some cute Lucky Brand shoes under it while Brad wore Sperry’s with some pretty awesome mustache socks. The John J. Audubon center was such a good fit for them both, and everything was outside except cocktail hour, which was held in a great barn the venue had. The couple’s friend, DJ, officiated their ceremony (with tears all around). Kasey was bubbling near the end when she got to kiss her (now) husband – she was jumping for joy! We got a few moments to sneak out after the ceremony while everyone was back at the barn and headed through the stunning grounds at the Audubon center with amazing light – a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of cocktail hour. Right before the reception, Kasey and Brad hopped in their friend’s old MG and took a drive around the property, then it was time for dancing, and dancing, and dancing. At one point during the reception, I counted 3 people out of all the guests sitting down, while everyone else packed the dance floor with music from Lovesick Inc. Lovesick Inc. really did a tremendous job in playing to the crowd, and keeping everyone happy and on their feet – it’s rare to see so much participation for so long at weddings, but they made it look easy. After parent dances, the cake was moved to the dance floor to be cut. It was a traditional three-tier, buttercream cake with wooden decorations, but the real surprise was for Brad: Kasey had the staff bring out a special cake. A Phillies jersey cake, adorned with the couple’s last name, looked fabulous and Brad absolutely loved it (I hear it tasted great too!). Kasey + Brad’s wedding was such a joy to shoot, and they are one of the most fun couples I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. I wish them nothing but the very best for their future – it’s going to be incredible.
